5 Cookbooks You MUST Have If You’re Vegan
At the moment, there are so many vegan cookbooks out there being published. It’s a bit insane. And whether you’re a new vegan or one who’s been eating the vegan diet for years, it can be a bit overwhelming to find a vegan cookbook that you know you’re going to like.
Often times, there are those cookbooks that just… aren’t the greatest. That’s the nicest way to put it. There are literally tons of vegan cookbooks out there that act as if we have hours upon hours to make one tiny little meal, when in fact, we’re just looking for a quick, efficient cookbook to give us some inspiration in the kitchen.
With that said, we’ve put together this little list of the top 5 cookbooks you absolutely NEED if you’re a vegan. A great cookbook that talks about how daunting going vegan can actually be, especially if you do love to eat meat. Kristy Turner has a great introduction where she talks about her own experience with going vegan, which can help to fuel some inspiration in you as you either start your vegan journey or just continue it. This cookbook is full of fantastic vegan snacks and meals, and one is bound to become your new favorite go-to meal.
Crossroads by Tal Ronnen
A book that’s for the more sophisticated chef, the author of this book Tal Ronnen is considered by a lot of people to be the best vegan chef in all of America. And this cookbook is proof that Ronnen is a genius in concocting delicious experiences from vegan ingredients. There’s a little more than 100 recipes in here that are all plant based and all fantastic.
The Oh She Glows Cookbook by Angela Liddon
The first cookbook by the Oh She Glows vegan blogger Angela Liddon, this cookbook has everything you never knew you wanted from a vegan cookbook. These recipes are nourishing, delicious, fantastic, and every positive adjective you could possibly think of. Liddon has already released a second cookbook, but this one is by far our favorite and will always have a safe spot on our kitchen bookshelf.
Superfood Superfast by Julie Montagu
If you consider yourself more busy than the average person and just really don’t have time to do all these meal preps, this is the book for you. This cookbook actually exceeds at being a vegan cookbook that provides easy, fast recipes that are quite delicious. Almost all of these recipes take 20 minutes or less to make, dispelling all those rumors that it takes a long time to prep and that it’s hard work to be a vegan. If you’re a beginner vegan, this is the book for you.
Chloe’s Vegan Desserts by Chloe Coscarelli
From the first vegan winner from the show Cupcake Wars, this cookbook really is fantastic. There’s recipes for every dessert you could think of in this little cookbook, from a crumb cake to a lemon cake and everything in between. Chloe Coscarelli’s cupcake business has sucessfully created two cupcakeries in NYC, and this cookbook is just another A+ to add to her ventures.
